Gordon,

Really I wish! Loved my job.

If that’s the only thing you can think of then sounds like I’m in for another rocky ride but what could possibly make them assume this if that was the case would they not bring me in for an interview under caution? Plus my health problems should confirm I can’t work. Not sure how I can prove my innocence. The Compliance Officer said there was nothing to worry about so it just doesn’t add up.

I will wait for the letter to arrive which she said she would be sending to me.

Thanks again

Hi Gordon ‘Happy Update’

Just received a letter from the Customer Compliance Officer saying
(By the way hate being called a Customer makes you think you have bought something much rather be known as a Claimant!)

As per your Compliance interview 5/3/2019

I have taken further advice from the Decision Makers for Employment Support Allowance as follows.
Re Employment Support Contributions, it is only payment for work the claimant actually does within the business which is taken into account.
As you have stated you do not work in the shop and there is no evidence to suggest otherwise this will not affect your ESA conts.
Regards,
xxxxxxxx

I was told to expect to wait quite a few weeks and this reply came within 4 days. Although I am very relieved I have been very anxious & totally exhausted over this for the last 4 weeks, some of the things said to me in the manner they were said and the implications have made me feel indescribable and worried I had done something wrong or omitted something on a form years ago. I was accused of not filling in forms which asked about any mortgage, owning any other property, any income and told that information is asked on all forms but it’s not! If I had been asked this I would have disclosed everything plus I have an accountant who fills in my self assessment tax form every year stating any income, so I have hidden nothing. When you are not well things like this become a mountain which seems impossible to get over and when you do you are flattened. There’s only so many times you can fight but I urge everyone to try to continue to achieve receiving what is rightfully yours.

I’m still reeling and wondering what on earth that was all about, wondering if it has something to do with the mistake the DWP made with claimants between 2011 & 2016 when they transferred Incompacity Claimants to ESA and put them in the Contribution ESA Group instead of the Income Related Group. There’s a lot of money to be paid back to people.

Well thank you again Gordon and Team for all the hard work you put into this site, it’s my first ‘go to’ place whenever I have a problem with my benefit this it is such a benefit! I hope in some way my posts may have helped someone who may be going though similar.

Very best wishes,
Twinkle
