Why would DWP call me? was created by hippyhappy

I had a message on my answer phone but I didn't see it until 5.50pm. The man gave a number and asked me to call back at my earliest convenience. I called the number and a recording said it was the PIP enquiry line...but because they closed at 6, I didn't get through.
I feel ill. I have no idea why they would call. My renewal was done just at the end of last year until May 2021.
Why do they call people?

It's not normal for PIP claimants to be contacted by the DWP but that does not mean that it is a problem.

I wish I could allay your concerns given the weekend but any reason for the call I can think of would simply be a guess.
