I have got my assessment at the end of the week and I am really worried. My doctor changed my diagnosis and meds. But I have recently been really out of it mentally due to the death of my father and I forgot to update the ESA people on my condition, Do i wait till the assessment and let them know then or ring up. it's been about 3 months since i was re-diagnosed and I have been withdrawn and not being able to cope with anything - Any advice would be great
Given the timescale I would tell them at the assessment, write a short letter explaining the changes and in particular any changes to your abilities to complete the ESA activities. Give the letter to the assessor at the start of the interview and ask them to read it before they start and to include it in your file.
I would also send a copy to the DWP office dealing with your claim, the address will be on any letter that you have had about your ESA.
