ESA Support Group was created by morts67
Hi,I understand people in support group are disallowed from claiming Universal credit what I would like to know please is what date did that take effect as I have read it was June but job centres weren’t informing claimants who had a change of circumstances of this and making them claim universal credit.Would be grateful of any feedback.

I don't know where you have heard this but it's not the case. Claimants receiving the Severe Disability Premium are barred from claiming UC but there is nothing related to the SG, this came into force from 16 January 2019.

Claimants will only be required to claim UC if they make a new claim for one of the benefits that now come under the UC umbrella.
