GCA was created by David
Hello. I have been in receipt of DLA for the past five years (ish) I have Bipolar 2.

I have just been diagnosed with Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) and the very next day I received my DLA to PIP application. Very timely.

The GCA is awful and I'm quite shocked and in a bit of a mental mess along with pains and headaches +++

Does anyone have any help, tips or advice for me to use? This GCA has really hit me and I want to be able to describe my new problems well. BPAD2 and GCA am I unique!?

Thank you

David

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

PIP is not about a claimant's conditions but the limitations that result from them in regard to a defined set of activities, this is different from how DLA operated.

Our PIP Claim guide explains the criteria and how to go about providing information about your problems, it also explains the claims process, see

If you have more questions then please reply to this post and I will do my best to help.
