Esa assessment terminated

Esa assessment terminated was created by fairf
I had a similar experience at a face-to-face assessment last week. After around 20 minutes the HCP said she did not think she needed any more information. The recording of the assessment then came to an end (and did not resume later). I was showing signs of distress, so I do not know if that was connected. The HCP went out of the room, apparently, she said, to telephone a colleague to check whether she had enough information and to confirm that it would be okay to end the face-to-face assessment. She came back and the meeting was ended.

I also do not know what to make of this. I have Asperger's syndrome (on the autism spectrum) so do not cope well with uncertainty. Before this reassessment I was in the support group for a couple of years for not coping with change following a paper assessment in 2017. Before that (when I did not have an autism diagnosis) I was in the WRAG following one face-to-face assessment in 2012 and a paper assessment in 2013.

The HCP said that I would not have to have an assessment at home (which I definitely did not want). However, is it safe to assume that I will not have to attend another appointment at an assessment centre in the near future? Could that perhaps happen because someone higher up in Maximus, or possibly someone in the DWP wants more information? In the face-to-face assessment I was not asked questions about daily life (ie sleeping, washing, dressing, cooking, housework, shopping, hobbies, social life). I do not want to go through that stressful experience again.

When can I obtain a copy of the HCP's report? ESA85? Do I have to wait until I have received the decision letter from the DWP? How do I obtain a copy?

I've moved your post to its own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other member's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

Providing a report of reasonable quality is written and accepted by the DWP then I would not expect you to have to attend a new face to face.

You can request a copy of the ESA85 once a Decision has been made, this should be in 4-6 weeks from the assessment.
