It can take 7-10 days for a letter to reach the claimant so it sounds as if a Decision was made while the letter was still making it's way to you.

Yes, you can challenge the length of the award but you cannot restrict the DWP to just looking at this, they can and will look at the whole award.

We have not seen huge success with challenging the length of the award and if you go on to appeal there is the possibility that your hearing will not be convened before the DWP start the assessment process again, rendering the Tribunal's Decision moot.
