Hi there I'm waiting for PIP tribunal, it was adjourned as they want me to appear in person, so I'm waiting for a date. My health has taken a turn for the worst and I rang PIP they advised me to make a new claim. However a friend said that if I do that my appeal will be cancelled. Does anyone know? Thanks
Making a new claim for PIP will not affect your appeal directly but the new Decision that would result will supersede and award that might be made by the Tribunal panel so you need to consider whether this may disadvantage you.
The panel cannot consider any changes in your conditions that have occurred since the Decision that you are appealing, a new claim can.
