Not too sure if I am in the right place for this! but lets try, my neighbour who is 68 is on state pension, however she is also in getting Enhanced rate for daily living and enhanced rate for mobility.
Her son has asked her if she could answer the telephone for his new business and he will pay her, however she is concerned she may lose her benefit.
What is the situation in this case

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

There is no specific requirement for a PIP claimant to inform the DWP if they start working but it may disadvantage them if they do not and the DWP believe it to be the result of an improvement in their conditions.
So providing her conditions have not changed it won't be an issue.

Thank you, I should have mentioned she is registered blind, not partially sighted but blind so her condition will never change.
does she still need to notify DWP and would she be restricted on earnings?

So as I said there is no specific requirement for a PIP claimant to inform the DWP if they start working. PIP is not affected by the claimant's earnings or savings.
