I’ve had my pip assessment, so here comes that long wait (6 weeks she said) to hear my fate! Absolutely glad it’s over with, but at the same time what an ordeal. Weird how she walked behind me at the beginning and ahead of me at the end l.
She seemed pleasant enough, but she did tell me to stop talking as she had 4 patients to get through in a day. She was an ex mental health nurse. She said she’d read my details and decided to focus on my mobility first rather than the the beginning (?)
She almost answered some questions for me or said things like ‘of course with all those conditions you can’t do .....’ the one that got me was where she referenced whether I can walk to my local store. And how long could I walk for before I needed to stop ; how long do I stop for. I did emphasise that my issue is being able to do the stuff repeatedly
She then offered to do an exam but gave me an option to decline ‘given all my conditions - her words’ now I’m probably overthinking it but that may count against me.
Anyway watch this space,
