Filling in ESA50 form problem

From my understanding of ESA , after medical evidence the claimants account takes precedence in their evaluation, which in this case presents a problem.
I am his father, carer and appointee. With his PIP I sent a supporting letter as a carer, but was able to gather some responses from my son to put in the space boxes, I think that ESA has become more abstruse and complex with ever changing descriptors lacking clear guidelines in some cases.
I intend to try again with my son, though their is the form return deadline. If it should be required, as his carer/appointee, can I fill in the activity boxes, or would this downgrade the validity of the form, given it is the claimants experience that is required?

It is perfectly acceptable for you to fill in your son's form on his behalf and give an account of the difficulties he faces especially as his difficulties mean he is unable to give an accurate account for himself. I would advise that you also attach a letter just as you did for PIP saying how his condition causes him to disengage or get frustrated and any other relevant information they need to know about him. This is a common symptom for people with an autistic spectrum condition and they should not be discriminated for it.
I know of two people with autism who have gone successfully through this process recently and continued in the support group.
Good Luck.

However due to his autistic spectrum condition he is largely unable to fully grasp the concepts, scope and issues involved with the activities. This has caused him some frustration and anger, and disengagement from the process after repeated attempts.
