PIP f2f tomorrow was created by magdelena
My hubby has the dreaded f2f tomorrow and I wondered if anyone had any last minute advice. He has Parkinson’s so his PIP2 form was a War and Peace size affair. We accompanied it with 3 letters of medical support.

We’re recording the interview and done as much preparation as we can but still my mind combs through every detail lest I’ve forgotten anything.

I’m vaguely terrified that the HP won’t have the first clue about Parkinson’s and won’t understand that the meditation my hubby takes works to ease the symptoms. I do have a letter from his former consultant that explains this and I intend to give it to the HP at the start (and will copy to the DWP. We only found the letter a few days ago so didn’t include it with our PIP2).

Dear God this is stressful.

Hi Magdelena

You have already done everything you can do and now you have to let the process happen. Accept there may be things that during the assessment your husband forgets to say. No one can remember everything.

It's a good idea to remind your assessor of your husband's difficulties. I don't know whether your husband can do all the talking himself - if he can that's fine. Just be aware that they want to hear from him. How much you are allowed to say, depends on the assessor.

It is a fear that everyone has that their assessor will not understand their condition, but until you're there you won't know and despite the many horror stories - there are some very good ones.

Good luck.
