Can anyone help my husband was on DLA life high mobility and low care we did a coc and had to do pip he has been awarded high care for pip and lower rate for mobility 10 points Im just confused do you receive a backdated award from the date you did the coc or just get higher rate when pip starts I thought it would start from date you requested it Also he got 10 points for mobility even thou his condition is much worse would it be a bad idea of doing MR just in case it went down even lower thank you for any help
I'm afraid there is no backdating for transfers from DLA to PIP even when a Change has been reported.
It's up to you whether you do an MR in regard to the Mobility award, the criteria for PIP is much stricter than that for DLA and the direct equivalent of a DLA HRM award is a standard one for PIP.
Can you show that your husband's walking is limited to 20m or less or that he has problems with the Going Out activity?
