PIP Appeal was created by katel
Hi,
My PIP Oral Appeal is next week. 2 days after I received the letter advising me of the date, I received a letter from DWP advising me that "they have all the information they need to make a decision on my claim". They say there is no need for me to contact them, they will contact me.
Dont really understand why they are sending me this letter when my appeal is next week. Surely they have already made their decision, thus my appeal. Any Ideas ?

We have seen these letters sent out in error by the DWP, it usually happens in response to their receiving a copy of your appeal request from the Tribunal Service so this one is very late but I would ignore it, any communication that the DWP might have with you needs to go via the TS.

Just an update on my PIP case and appeal. I attended appeal and it was adjourned because DWP had claimed to have looked at new evidence that i sent via tribunal service.....which I had'nt. Neither i or the panel knew what they were talking about. Legal member said that in the interest of justice, she would have to ask them where they got this info from. She told me that she would be insisting on a rep from DWP attend my appeal when recalled because they had some serious questions to answer.
A few days after my appeal was adjourned, I received a letter from Arbitration stating that they were going to investigate my case. Have'nt heard anything back yet, has anyone else ever heard of this happening ? Thanks

By Arbitration do you mean the DWP's complaints team?
Any complaint would be separate from your appeal, although any result from it would be of interest to the panel if it was available in time but I suspect that this will not be the case.
