Light touch was created by Bica
I’m now 69 and my PIP is due for renewal in December this year.
In your last news letter you stated as follows
The DWP has now announced that the 10 year light touch review has been extended to existing PIP claimants above State Pension age.
The department claims that 290,000 claimants will benefit from this latest move.
Question is, “ do I fall into this category”?
Many thanks in anticipation.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Bica
We would expect you to, but the DWP has yet to give their response and so until they do it is impossible for us to give you an answer.

Would you believe it, after asking you about pensioners having a light touch, I have just received my letter from the DWP stating that I have been awarded ongoing for both categories until 2029, even though I was not due until December this year.
Now I can enjoy my retirement.
