if you get sent a health assesment form for esa ,and your award changes from work related to the support group , do you get backdated and would it be from the date they requested you return the form , or would it be only paid from the decision was made, as i thought it would be backdated from the time they request you to fill in the how your health affect you form ,but apparantly ive been told i wont get backpayment only from the date of decision ,, i filled in the form in febuary and only had decision a week ago,.
If you notified the DWP of a Change of Circumstances then the Decision should apply from the date on your letter notifying the DWP, however, if the assessment was initiated by the DWP then the Decision applies from the date that it is made and there will be no backdating.
