Hi everyone, this is my first post but I have been reading and using the guides as I go through my to PIP application. I was on DLA indefinate award for my Rheumatoid disease, I've had it for 27 years. Well thank you first of all for all the guides, info and help on this site in dealing with the application itself and also for the notes and info on preparing for a F2F. I had mine this morning at home, which I was both relieved and surprised to get a letter about. She arrived at 10 am and was here for about an hour and I have to say the lady, a nurse, was very pleasant and gentle and seemed understanding about my limitations. After all the things I've read about the assessment I was feeling properly sick this morning before she arrived but she put my mind at ease and made me feel pretty relaxed. Now we keep everything crossed and pray for a good result. I'm trying to go through this process one bridge at a time to keep stress levels down. Thank you to everyone for all the advice and support. Gilly.

Glad to hear that you have found the guides useful and your assessment went well and you had a sensitive assessor. If you want to see your medical report (you don't have to), before the decision letter comes, you can ring up and request it. I'd leave it to the beginning of next week.
