severe anxiaty and depression was created by connelly22
since filling PIP forms in I have been assessed as having severe anxiety and depression, was not on original for as I was awaiting the assessment can I now inform them at my pip medical or what do I need to do on medication for it and having counselling now have proof of both. medical tomorrow worried sick as if I don't want to go

Yes, you should inform them of the new diagnosis but these are not things that happen overnight so I hope you included the effects of these conditions on your claim form?

no as I did not know I had it I did mention about not wanting to go outside and mix with people ive fought these feeling for some 12 months but ive had to seek help as it simply unbearable now will I still be able to mention it then

You have created a problem for yourself if you did not mention the limitations that these conditions force upon you on the form. Yes, raise it at the assessment.

I did add at the very back under additional information that I had been diagnosed by the mental health people and was awaiting an assessment, also informed them the DR had stated I had severe anxiety and depression in his opinion, then upon being assessed by the mental heath team this was confirmed, but I had to return the form whilst I was waiting the mental health assessment Gordon I hope this makes sense. and yes I will be bringing this up
