Sorry, I had missed the end off from the text I copied in last message.
Obviously CAB is going to be best to assist but from what is wrote here, if the payment was over £1,850 your DRO will be cancelled, if it is then I would imagine you would not be granted another DRO if you had the money but chose not to pay the debts, at least not in the short term.
They will obviously already know about the money and will expect to be told exactly what you spent it on if applying for a new DRO.... so in effect where as they might not take the money, your debts will return when they cancel the DRO and if you don't use it to pay down your debts, then I suspect they won't grant another.
(Just my reading off it (if the backdated payment was over £1,850), hope I'm wrong)
If you receive a lump sum or an asset during your moratorium period, your DRO shouldn’t automatically be revoked (cancelled) as long as:
The amount is less than £1,000
It's worth less than 50% of the total amount of debt you owe
You tell the Insolvency Service DRO Team within 14 days of receiving it. If they find out this information from someone else they WILL revoke your DRO.
If the amount is £1,000 to £1,850, the Insolvency Service DRO Team will make a decision based on your personal circumstances.
If it's worth more than £1,850 your DRO will normally be revoked
