PIP letter was created by Missymooiknew
Hello

I am currently going through DLA - PIP application.

I had my f2f at home around 3/4 weeks ago.

The assessor was understanding, I requested a copy of my report and it was positive and factual.

I called a few days ago to chase progress and they stated they had wrote to me that day and could I give them hospital dates for my recent admission. I gave it to them and was told I could ignore the letter.

Today a letter arrived and it was asking for hospital admission dates for different years. I called them to see if was an error, they asked for the dates anyway to put on file as it was before PIP. I mentioned that I thought I did not need to let them know unless it was over 28 days or a linked period but they said that I should always let them know.

Can you let me know if this is standard for them to write for such old hospital admissions?

Many thanks

Hi Missymooiknew

Clearly, something in the information you gave on your form or information to the assessor has flagged up hospital admissions. I should not be overly alarmed by this. If you've had several admissions they are obviously trying to get a clear picture. It is unusual for them to go back very far, but certainly not unheard of.

Many thanks.

The assessor asked for the dates and it states them on her report that I had operations in 2016, a few in 2017 and 2019.

I really did not think I had to tell them as the longest admission was 2 weeks and not linked together.

Hopefully it will not be too long now.
