Hi. trying to help my sister in law, she had full DLA and on the change over to PIP she had this cut to Standard rate Daily Living. So she had to hand back her Motability car, She was so scared of losing everything that she did not want to appeal. lately she has been getting worse with her mobility so we are trying to get her to apply again but does she have to reapply or just go through Change of Circumstances route. she is terrified that the benefits she gets at present will stop if she goes through with either option, does anyone know if that is the case. Thanks
If your sister-in-law reports a change of circumstances to the DWP, it will trigger a reassessment. Her benefits will remain the same while that process takes place.
