Pip short notice text was created by Des
Hi, I’ve just received a text message from independent services who work under the department of work and pensions.

We have appointments available in your area over the next 7 days in a assessment centre, please call us on 08001884881 if you are available.

Please can you help, do I need to contact them at such short notice?
As I will have no one to go with me.
Kind regards

Hi Des

No, you don't have to contact them at all if you don't want to. It only says 'if you are available' and you're not because no one is available to go with you. They sometimes have short notice ones so this message will have been sent out to lots of people.

Thanks for your quick reply, that’s put my mind at ease. Just to let you know I only sent my pip form back last week so assessments must be moving quickly ( I’m in the East Sussex area ) just one more question please, would they normally send out a letter for an assessment?

Kind regards

The Assessment Providers are legally required to give a minimum of seven days written notice although this includes postage.
