You could phone again, and you may well get a different answer, but will you trust it more if it is the answer you're hoping for? Some members have reported that the DWP will be writing to any pensioner who in the future will receive a light touch review. There has been no official word of this as yet - so at the moment you are likely to be subject to a review at the time you have currently been told.

I phoned DWP last week about holiday dates. Took the chance to ask about 10 year review for pensioners, was told I will be reviewed between 6-12 months in advance of date, but “ I can’t tell you you won’t be assessed”. Seems it very much depends on who you get, what you’re told. I noticed others have been told it’s on their file not be assessed because of their age. Do you think it’s worth I phoning again in hope of getting a different, more positive answer ? TIA
Hi Bin It,
If I don't get a cast iron answer when I phone the helpline, I ring again and again and again - one after the other.
It's time consuming, but free. I do it when I have a free afternoon and by the end of the last call I usually have SOME sort of idea what's going on.
Good luck,
Phrank.
