To Much Pain Will Kill Y ou In The End
Paramedics report was created by terdun9
The young man who did the F2F did say he had no information on his screen about my husband at all. I explained to him that everything was done in type onA 4 paper with all the right information on every page. I am now waiting for his report to come so i can read it judging by the comments on the PIP letter I cant wait to see whats he has said, and also interested knowing who was doing this F 2 F as well. Past comment
Now got his report and most of it is clear paper with just the boxes blocked out hardy anything said apart from not under a specialist for this or that it is just so vague I'm have asked for an MR I managed to do this on the phone. Now i have got to give it a real good read and try and lay down my reasons as to why i think it's not said what it should be saying. But i was wondering do they record the F2F at all because it's so very wrong his report, if they were recorded we could just ask to watch it ended say again F 2 F.
Just hope its over with soon

Hi Jacqui
There is talk that DWP will bring in recorded assessments for all assessments but nothing yet. has come in. You may be able to record your own assessment but there are strict protocols to follow.
The first stage to challenging a Decision is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim, have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so, I would phone them but again follow up the request in writing. Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.
Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;
"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"
than their opinions
"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.
When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.
