Hi all, after much reading of your guides, decided on MR for loss of mobility component. As I was so anxious & felt out of my depth I managed to get an appointment with cab, they were great at encouraging and helping me to put my case across, form has now gone, if I’m telephoned by dwp about it am I allowed to say I’d prefer everything they have to tell or ask me written down? I just know as I’m so shattered/worried sick that I could be led to say the wrong thing, boxed into a corner - potentially ruining my whole case through feeling under pressure etc. We don’t have a speaker phone .
Thank you so much for your wonderful site it helps to know you understand how the benefits system treat ill health.

You can certainly tell the DWP that you only want them to communicate in writing, it's unlikely that a DM will try and contact you but I have to tell you that some, not all, members have found it to their advantage to take a call as it allows them to explain their problems in more depth and to answer the DMs questions, so I would think carefully before ruling it out.
