PIP appeal adjourned? was created by SimplyMe
Hi I’m new here, I had my PIP appeal today and it was adjourned... they want more medical evidence?
I wasn’t aware that that could happen. Could anyone shed light on this for me
TIA

This usually happens when both the claimant's and the assessor's report are credible, the Tribunal panel is looking to see how they can differentiate them.

Hi SimplyMe
It does not happen very often, I was at a tribunal about two years ago, which was adjourned for medical evidence, the person I was with had tried 4 times without success to claim PIP and had given up when I met him. He suffered from epilepsy and he did not have much medical evidence to send in or so he said. It turned out that the tribunal received over 200 pages of medical evidence, he was awarded standard rate of PIP for both components. It did take over 18 months to get the award but we got there in the end.
