Good Afternoon,

Following my Home PIP face to face assessment on the 9th September 2019 and your advice here I sent a letter to the PIP address as I was not happy with the contents of the PA4 Consultation Report Form as it was full of lies and was incorrect. I sent the letter by special delivery this Monday 23rd September 2019 to be received by 9:00 am yesterday Tuesday 24th September, I kept a copy of the letter that I sent. I checked they Royal Mail website this morning and the letter had been received at the address yesterday Tuesday 24th September 2019 at 4:55 am and signed for.

I rang the PIP office today on telephone number 0800 121 4433 and told the lady I spoke to about the above and gave her the Royal Mail Tracking number, she took my details, looked me up on the system and she told me my letter had not been scanned onto their system but that did not necessarily mean that their post handling site had not received it, she took my telephone number and told me that she would e-mail the post handling site and then phone me back but because the mail handling site might not get in back in touch with her until tomorrow and it might be tommorow when she rings me, I am feeling really worried now as I got my letter sent to them quickly because I knew there was only a small window before a decision maker makes a decision on my case and I am worried about what I should do now as my face to face assessment was on the 9th September 2019 and a decision maker will be making a decison on my case soon.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Emerald

There's very little I can say here except to keep chasing to ensure that your information is on the system. Don't rely on them phoning you back. They may do - but they may not.

Good Evening BIS

Thankyou for your reply,

Thankfully I had a reply back earlier at 17:50 pm tonight from the lady I spoke to earlier today to say that they had received my letter and copies of my hospital letters from all the Health Professionals that have dealt with me and it has now all been scanned onto their system and it is now with a Case Manager, I take that they mean Decision Maker ?

Thankyou

We use Decision Maker as a generic term for any DWP employee empowered to make Decisions, so it includes actual DMs and Case Managers both of which are DWP grades with a DM being more senior than a CM.
