MANDATORY RECONSIDERATION-waiting for reply

Hello

I have sent my Mandatory Reconsideration 6 weeks ago. I have not heard from DWP yet. I feel rather nervous and my health conditions got much worse. I have received letters from Motability about returning the car I used on the scheme. I am very limited in movements using crutches or a frame. Without a car my life is going to be even more difficult than ever. Is there anything else to do? I have sent additional medical evidence after sending a request for Mandatory Reconsideration. I am seeing specialists weekly (pain clinic and psychotherapist). Maybe I should ask them to write a letter of support? Alex

Hi Alex

There's nothing to stop you from sending in additional evidence if you think it is relevant. Just be aware that they are making a judgment on how you were at the time you filled in the claim, not how you are now.

If you are worried about the length of time your MR is taking you can give them a call, though they can take up to ten weeks.
