I called them as my partner wont be home till late, rude man said new info has come to light about your mental health and they dont want to do a home visit. less than 24 hrs notice and no explanation on text. also i have a operation in a few days and will be in plaster (after yet another fall) I cant get hold of my partner any ideas is this right ? thanks

William
The usual reason for refusing a home assessment is that the claimant or a person involved in their treatment have stated that they suffer from anger management or aggressive behaviour issues.
Is it possible that this is the case? If it is then I'm afraid they are not going to give you another home assessment.
Would the plaster prevent you from travelling?
I would not do anything until you have had a chance to speak to your partner.
if this was your first appointment then you do have the option of re-arranging it once but you will have to attend the new appointment whatever.

Thank you Gordon.
about 3 or 4 yrs ago I was in a dark place ( better now) but it was included in a letter from the mental health team. I realise the issue what you say but they have had the paperwork for nearly 3 months and even called to see if they could come sooner. its a earth shattering thing to happen when I rely on my life to be mapped out and timed to the enth degree. thanks anyway i feel drained now
