Can't travel to PIP Assessment in Mobility Scooter

Hi All,

I wondered if anyone could help. I have been given a date and venue for my PIP Assessment (the face to face interview). However I simply cannot get there on my mobility scooter using public transport and cannot drive and have no-one who can. I do not have a car.

The Centre itself is accessible but how am I meant to get there? I cannot afford a taxi - it would cost a fortune. Can I request a Home Assessment as sometimes I cannot get out of bed for pain? I thought they would just give me one knowing my conditions but they have not do so.

I really would appreciate any advice.

Many thanks,

Fiona H

You need to contact the Assessment Provider to explain your diificlties, they may be willing to pay for a taxi or to switch you to a home assessment.
