Hi does anyone know how to request a PIP light touch review as my condition is degenerative and wont improve and I've had it since I was 15yrs old.
Many thanks

Hi Amanda

You can't just request a light touch review. Claimants who have been awarded ongoing awards (ten years) will be subject to light touch reviews in the future. Those who have reached pension age will also be subject to light touch reviews in the future and the DWP have said (though not officially) that they will be writing to those who it applies to. As yet no one knows what 'light touch review' actually means in practice.

There are others who have not yet been awarded ongoing awards, but have long term conditions that the DWP have said will be looked at - but not when.

Thankyou.
I was hoping if I've had the condition since I was 15yrs old (I'm now 44) I could prove its definitely not getting or going to get better but only claimed pip since 2014 as I worked until then and didn't know I could claim pip.
Thanks very much. What you say makes sense I just couldnt find anything on it.
