My husband sent back his PIP form 2 weeks ago and this afternoon he had a call from DWP asking if he had prove of his armed forces invaliding pension and his war pension which he said he had and so asked about it and how much and said that back in 2007 it seems he might have meant to have some sort of payments like income support or something and that the guy was going to send out a letter he asked was this to do with his PIP claim but the guy on the phone said no. Is this normal to get calls like this ?

No, these calls are not normal but I think you will need to wait for the letter to understand what they are looking at, it was still possible to make a claim for Income Support due to Incapacity in 2007 but if you did not do so then I can't see what the DWP can do now.

Yea it's confusing because we remember at the time husband was not entitled to the full amount of benefits ect due to his pension so don't have a glue so will await a letter. It's just seemed strange getting this call out of the blue from DWP since husband had only just sent in his PIP form
