Hi, I was on DLA medium and High outside for life I have had this for 24yrs, I am never going to get better only worse plus I now am a pensioner. I Sent loads of medical letters info etc with forms & GP did a letter backing me 100%. I went for assessment 2 weeks ago. Got a text 2 days later to say they had received my written assessment and after they make a decision I will here in writing within 6 weeks. Today is 2wks so far nothing help!! I am so worried that my life could drastically change. Just a thought are things slowing down waiting for Brexit on 31st seems silly to ask but. Can anyone help me or do I continue to be in even more pain and panic and anxious.
It is obviously a very stressful time, but you have been told that you will hear within 6 weeks and so until that time is up - there is nothing that you can do. Worrying yourself sick won't help - so just try and get through each day at a time until you hear. I don't think Brexit has any obvious effect on the benefits system at the current time.
