DLA to PIP - mobility car question was created by Steve
Hi there,

Apologies if this has been posted before but I’m trying to find out some info about my mobility car.

I’ve just started the process of transferring from DLA to PIP and I’m wondering what happens to my mobility car if I get turned down?

Do I get to keep the car for a period of time while I appeal or will I have to return it straight away?

Also, if the appeal fails is there any way of purchasing the car (preferably by monthly payments) so that I can keep the vehicle?

Thanks

Steve.

You would need to contact Motability if you receive an adverse Decision only they can tell you what would happen in these circumstances but your having a car from them is dependant on your having an Enhanced Mobility award.

Hi
I’m in the same situation regards my motorbility car.
As soon as I received my invite to transition from DLA I
Phoned them, they are really helpful , there are a number of options available.
My advice is speak to them it will be one less worry.
