Withdrawing medical evidence sent to DWP re: PIP was created by chopsuey
Hi
Please can you tell me if it’s possible to withdraw medical evidence sent to the DWP with a PIP application? It’s been brought to my attention that a report I submitted contains a number of assumptions and inaccuracies that will be detrimental to my application. I would really appreciate your advice on what to do please.
Many thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Chopsuey
You can try contacting the DWP, but I think your chances of success are practically nil. They do not generally send information back to claimants and the chances of them removing a single report and destroying it is not likely. I think as well as ringing them you would also have to put the request in writing.

Thank you for your reply - I guess as well I can try and explain at the medical assessment that this report contains inaccuracies and assumptions?

Hi Chopsuey
Yes you can, and if I was you as soon as the assessment starts I would tell the assessor that you have an issue you want to raise - and bring it out into the open, especially if you believe it's that damaging.
