Hi .just wondering if PIP is linked with ESA .otherwise would the result of ESA is taking into account when dealing with PIP. Also I’ve been awarded indefinite DLA and the same for ESA support group. But I haven’t received yet my invitation to transfer my DLA to PIP claim. Do you have an idea when i should be called for the transfer? Thank you.
There is no link between ESA and PIP. Many people have either PiP or ESA and not both. For those that have both, there is no guarantee because you have been placed in the support group of ESA you will automatically be awarded enhanced PIP. The criteria are quite different.
I am afraid we cannot tell you when you may be transferred from DLA to PIP. It should have been completed some time ago, but I did read somewhere that it will be at least another two years before they have completed this and it does seem the end date keeps changing.
