Apologies if this is a repeat of a question posted elsewhere.
I've been in receipt of ESA in the support group for years, and have recently moved house to a different authority. I was only reassessed for ESA in 2016 and given a long standing award. Obviously the move has triggered me to be re-assessed? It just feels too soon considering all of the evidence I provided last time and the fact my medical conditions get worse. Had anyone else been sent a reassessment form immediately after moving house? Many thanks.
ESA is awarded on an indefinite basis, but people can be reassessed after one, two or three years. Yes, some people have had much longer gaps, but that is because the DWP has been behind with reassessments. So you look as if yours has just come around after three years. Unless your last letter specifically states that you should not be reassessed for a particular length of time, or not be reassessed at all, you will have to complete the form.
