do PIP assessors want to see scars? was created by zaksmum
I have my f2f this week for DLA to PIP transfer. I am 68 and was on PIP for about 30 years following a serious road accident.

I have a lot of bad scarring from this on my lower legs and the effect of this has been that there is no movement or flexion at all in my foot or ankle, and my foot is clawed and pointing downwards. This has made walking very difficult and painful,
.

It is relevant to my condition - would they ask to see the scars or should I just show them?

They won't ask you to disrobe so unless you can easily show the scars without your doing so then you should give some thought as to how you might show them. Could you take pictures of them?

They are on my lower legs so I could just wear leggings and pull them up a bit to show the scars. I do think they need to be seen because it would then be obvious that my ankle and foot are not flexible because of the damage that caused the scarring.

Or as you suggest, take photos and show them to the assessor.
