Concerned I did the PIP form wrong! was created by Kelly
Hello, I just finally got round to filling in & sending my PIP form off last week but now I’m really worried I made some huge mistakes & I would really appreciate some advice please?
1. The answers I wrote were so long that on the additional sheets I typed out, I only included my name, NI number, D.O.B & the date!
2. I forgot to include Extra information on the Additional information part, would I still be able to send this in now after the deadline has gone? I already had two extensions.
3. Also, I do not have one of my consultations with a specialist until the end of next month, would it be too late to send further evidence to them after this consultation?
4. I’m just beginning to wonder if I should cancel it all & phone up for another PIP form & start over again! What is your opinion on this?
Thanks in advance!
Kelly.

Hi Kelly
1. you included the information that you were supposed to do - so don't worry.
2. You can still send in extra information - just make sure that it has your name and NI number and a covering letter explaining what it is.
3. Lots of people don't have letters on time. If it comes in plenty of time before your face to face you can send it in, or you can take it along to your assessment and give a copy to the assessor.
4. I can't make the decision for you, but I see no reason why you would want to start all over again. Everyone goes through a stage when they wish they'd included something, or wish they hadn't said something etc. This is not an exam. You do the best you can and that's all you can do.
