ESA Support Group Payment v State Pension

Hi I have recently received my state pension payment dates and was receiving the Employment Salary Allowance with the addition of being in the support group payments. I received a letter stating that my ESA payments would change from the high amount to less than half on a 2 weekly basis. I rang the ESA and read the letter to them and was told that now the whole of the ESA payments had stopped. So very slightly confused over the dates on the letter stating I would still receive a small amount each week which would fall into the Support component. Please can you advise. Many thanks

Irene

have you now reached State Retirement Age?

ESA is no longer payable when a claimant reaches SRA, if you were entitled to Income Related ESA then you should also be entitled to Pension Credit.
