What is the capital limit if you are in a mixed couple and one of you is over state pension age. My wife receives contribution ESA plus income related top up. I am on claim as dependant. I read it is £10 000 if one of you is over state pension age or is it still £6000.

It is not your age that determines the limits but the benefit you are receiving so the capital limits for ESA are;
£6000 - after which deductions will be made from any ESA(IR) that is being paid
£16,000 - Above this and entitlement to ESA(IR) is lost.

The information I saw on money advice site had said £10 000
I am confused. I want to know for certain before drawing pension.
Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Housing Benefit
Income Support
Pension Credit
Universal Credit.
What are the savings limits?
If you or your partner have £6,000 (£10,000 if you are over state pension age) or less in savings this will not affect your claim for these benefits.
If you or your partner have £16,000 or more in savings, you will not be entitled to any of these benefits.

It's badly worded and lacks information.
So as I said it is not your age but the benefit that determines the limits, so whilst you are under State Retirement Age you can claim ESA and the limits are £6000 and £16,000 I mentioned in mentioned.
Once you reach SRA you can no longer claim ESA but may, subject to your circumstances be able to claim Pension Credit, the limit for PC is £10,000 after which deductions will be made, there is no upper limit as there is for ESA.

I am over state pension age. I will be 67 this December. We receive ESA. The claim s in my wife's name and I am on as a dependent. I don't get pension credits. We get an age related premium no information was given on what this is but money went up when I was 66 but it is about to go down again in June. So this is extremely confusing as the site seemed to paying that the savings amount is £10 000 over state pension age which I wanted to clarify I was not able to claim pension credit as I am on claim for ESA. I am over state pension age.

You won't be able to claim Pension Credit until your wife reaches SRA, so the limits are £6000 and £16,000 but even if it was age related, which I repeat it is not, it is your wife's claim, not yours so it would be her age that would be relevant not yours.
