Pip Mdecical report not recieved was created by jasong123
Hi
Hi
can you confirm how long you have to ask for & send in extra information for a pip reconsideration. I phoned on the 27th march to ask them not to start the reconsideration until I send in extra information also I asked for all the info (medical report) they used to make the award to be sent to me & they said I have 1 month from the then (27th march)
The award letter is dated 13 march & says to do it within one month of the date of this letter which one is it & if its the latter what do i do as i still have not got the info i asked for from them
thanks in advance for answer jason

I think it likely that your call has started the MR process, the DWP normally give claimants four weeks to provide additional information but be aware this includes postage so in reality, you have no more than three.
Legally you have one month from the date of the Decision Letter to request an MR, after that you can make a Late request with your reasons why the request is late up to 13 months after the date of the letter.

I would expect you to have four weeks, not one month, from 27 March to provide anything that you want to be included for the MR but as I said, in practice, this is really three weeks.
You have the Decision Letter, this gives the Decision Makers reasons for the Decision, these are almost certainly a reflection of what has been written in the report, whilst it won't be as detailed it will give you a starting point.
