Lolau, Like you I have major problems with my balance. The assessor just ignored that fact & made comments that since I have never been unconscious after a fall then it can’t be that bad and I only attend hospital every 6 months.Luckily I received the assessment report before a decision was made. My consultant issued me with a letter stating that under no circumstances should I be cooking or showering on going out in my own and as nothing can be done 6 months check ups just to check on me. Can I ask you if the decision maker award you because of your poor balance. Can I also ask for advice from the monitors on this site, if the dec maker will take into account my consultants letter . Thank you
It is impossible for us to say whether the decision-maker will take note of your consultant's letter. Decision-makers are not medical professionals but if you have an unequivocal letter like you appear to have, stating what you should not be doing - you would hope they would. However, there are no guarantees.
