Tribunal and reviews / renewals was created by Andrew
Hi,
I`ve just read a comment on another site about a PIP reassessment for a person who was awarded both elements of PIP by an appeal tribunal. The person going for reassessment has received a letter from DWP saying that DWP cannot legally change the decision of an appeal tribunal.
Is this correct?

Hi Andrew
Yes it is correct, which is why we frequently hear from members whose claim has stopped as they have not received a renewal reminder from the DWP.
If you win at a Tribunal, you need to note the end date of the claim and apply to the DWP 6 months before the end to renew your claim. You will then be sent a new claims form, not a review form, although I have come across claimants who have been sent review forms after a successful Tribunal claim.
