Thank you, I have contacted Disability Action NI after being pointed in that direction by the MP's office (apparently they can't help with benefits), and will definitely contact Kester if I can't get any further support. I didn't realise we could be waiting up to a year - I was thinking the Tribunal could be imminent now the DfC's decision is back, but that would take some of the pressure off in some respects, but also prolonging the stress! My best wishes for everyone having to go through this process - it is awful and you feel like you're talking to a brick wall!

Hi everyone, just wanted to update you that Disability Action NI pointed me in the direction of Citywide Tribunal Services in Belfast who took over representation of Mum's case for the Tribunal. After getting some more evidence together from the consultant and GP, and PIP indicating again they would not change their decision, it went to Tribunal last Friday. The Tribunal ruled mistakes had been made and they have reinstated Mum's PIP and even put the mobility component at a higher rate, so reversing the previous decision to reduce this to standard in 2019 before then taking PIP away entirely. The whole process has been really stressful and distressing for Mum and it has nearly broke her, but they have now awarded PIP indefinitely so she won't have to go through this again. I would really recommend Citywide Tribunal Services to anyone who can avail of their services, it was entirely free and they took a lot of stress off our backs.

Hi Lorcan
Congratulations to you both. I'm so pleased to hear that your Mum won her Tribunal. She is very lucky to have had your support, and I'm delighted to hear that Disability Action NI were able to step in and help as well.
At long last you can stop worrying knowing she has the PIP support she needs and deserved.
