Does anybody known from when you put in all the information into UC for the review how long it takes them to tell everything is alright or if you have an overpayment. We put the last statements in on the 30th of March and now we are in May and we have heard nothing back.

I got a message from the DWP that we have another phone interview on Wednesday. This UC review has on for months. I wonder if it is that I have Self investment pension with stocks in it. It is governed by pension law. If I took the money out I would get 25% tax free and the rest will be taxed at 20% like any pension. I could buy a monthly pension for ex amount of years.

Hi Bis,
I found the extra money UC is concerned about. I received £1000 compensation in October and I took £1400 out of my help to save account what accounts for the difference between what we said we had in savings and the extra money. I think I am correct that compensation is disregarded from the date you received it for 12 months. They asked a question on the phone trying to catch us out and the amount of money I had in the account was 4 times less for the all of 2024 that when they done the UC review. I had in the hundreds in the bank account for whole of 2024. It probably shows we stated more savings than we really had. I am going to send this information and send a whole years of bank statements to back it along with the solicitor and the address to prove they paid me the £1000 compensation. I am hoping they will look at this and realise we have nothing to hide.
