@Kab I reached out to independentage and received no acknowledgement, nothing.
Anyhoo, the plot thickens re this allegation of an overpayment.
The message entered into my journal states...
"You were overpaid XXXXX from - to.
This is because IIDB has been added to your claim, IIDB is fully taken into account for UC purposes and should have been getting taken into account for this period".
We will take this money back from your monthly payment in instalments.
Now here is where I would welcome comments.
I have added ALL the UC payments made and the total I have received is several thousands of pounds less than what they claim the over payments amounts to, let that sink in. The op is more than the total benefit paid out to me in its entirety.
Whats the best way to progress this? And given they have caused my mop of luscious hair to turn grey over the past week what would be a fair restitution to pursue?

Hi ohreally
You will need to ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration. You can write out your full argument in the following form. Before you email or post it remember to take photos. If you are mobile I would take it to your nearest Jobcentre and ask for a receipt. They can photocopy it and stamp it as a True Copy and it will be sent off in the DWP internal mail.
