Petition to stop the intended 4 point PIP rule was created by Blueberry Owl
Perhaps this can be made sticky to garner as much support as possible?
I am not the person who started the petition but have signed and am sharing it.
If the Governments intended changes to PIP go ahead -
From November 2026, new claimants, and existing claimants having reviews will need to score 4 points in one of the Daily Living tasks.
They will still need to score 8 or above in total to get an award of Daily Living but that 8 or above MUST include a 4.
So even if you score quite highly, if you don’t get a 4 in one of the tasks, you won’t get Daily Living.
This means hundreds of thousands - yes hundreds of thousands, of claimants, both new and existing, will get no PIP Daily Living award.
You can check your own likelihood of this being you by looking at your last PIP award for Daily Living and see how many 4s you got.
The Mobility aspect of PIP is not included in this, only Daily Living.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Blueberry Owl
I've made it a sticky post for now - so as many people can see it as possible

It's obvious from what I think I heard Rachel Reeves saying session on television during a Parliament debate that people with mental illness, particularly schizophrenia, don't need PIP. I can only assume that she has never had schizophrenia. We have needs to do with our disability just as much as some physically disabled people need special equipment such as hoists etc.
When a member of government was asked if he could live on the tiny amount claimants will have after the benefit cuts.,he said no. When asked what we are supposed to do, he replied that the route out of poverty is work I like a lot of people are really worried about what is going to happen.
