Will DWP ever get in touch with employers?

Hi,

I’m recently migrated to UC in LCWRA and NS-ESA & am working part-time (was permitted work under ESA). I'm wondering if the DWP are allowed to get in touch with our employers to ask questions related to our work -
i.e. to check the number of hours we work, job title and what we do?

If they are allowed to do this, I’m worried they can use this info to trigger a reassessment or use it against us in reassessment - is this something they do?

Hi Gary,

thanks for this. I assumed that the only info they get from Inland revenue is our income, rather than number of hours worked - Is that not correct?
