4 irESA to UC managed migration questions was created by twinkerzzz
Hi
4 questions if possible to answer , appreciated :
1. On p22 of the B&W guide it says there's a 2 week run of the former legacy benefit to cover wait for first UC payment. Does that mean that the legacy benefit is paid up to 2 weeks into the 5 week application assessment/1 wk delayed payment period, leaving 3 weeks waiting for a back payment ?
2. ID VERIFICATION 'information on credit' : Does a credit card pdf statement enable this ID option ?
3. Once UC is active, do all DWP commmunications posted on To Do List and Journal auto-trigger a SMS/email alert, OR do i need to manually log in and check every week ?
4. Once UC is active, is it a repeat cycle of 1 calander month assessment periods mirroring the dates chosen for the application assessment period ? I'm confused because the application period is 1 calander month + 7 days (5 weeks), but i thought UC is subsequently paid monthly ?
Thanks for your time and attention.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi twinkerzzz
Yes there is a 5 week wait for the first UC payment after submitting the new claim. But remember you can apply for a UC Advance and this must be done during the first Assessment Period. The Advance request can be made through the UC account and the decision is immediate.
It isn't possible to preempt an individual's ID verification.
They usually trigger an SMS or email if that is what has been requested.
Yes it is monthly Assessment Periods. The first 5 week wait is a one off.

In terms of question 3, definately login at least once a week to be sure there are no messages etc....I know people who have been caught out as no e-mail or sms alert was received.

Posing the ID VERIFICATION 'information on credit' question again;
Where 'Information on credit' is a listed catagory of acceptable ID verification, what is 'information on credit' and what documents, might qualify as submissible for this catagory ? (Other than a mobile phone contract which i do not have)
thanks for previous answers btw

Hi twinkerzzz
I have not myself experience of the Credit Reference Agency ID verification. Though other members have reported on this. Maybe someone can assist with your question.
